Kolaba fort, also known as Alibag fort, is one of the most important tourist attractions in Alibag. It is located in the middle of the sea and is surrounded by Arabian Sea waters on all sides. It is a 300-year-old fort that was formerly a major naval outpost during Shivaji Maharaj's rule in Maharashtra. This fort is made of large pieces of black Bassalt granite, which gives it a gleaming appearance. This is why it is known as "The Diamond Fort" by the locals.

Angre Kanhoji Samadhi is a lovely tourist destination in Alibaug. It was erected in honor of the legendary Maratha Admiral Kanhoji Angre. The samadhi has eight faces, and the sculptured pillars, though decrepit, stand sturdy. The main Chhatri, built on a black basalt base that has partially crumbled, exhibits the elegance of Maratha style building.
